About RapidCoach

Built by a coach, for coaches

RapidCoach started inside a real coaching business. Between sessions, our founder was losing evenings to spreadsheets, scattered notes, and paper attendance sheets — and parent updates that fell apart the moment a practice moved. So we built the tool we wished existed: one connected place for your schedule, athletes, attendance, and notes, so the admin takes minutes a week, not hours.

Our story

RapidCoach grew out of Run For Performance, a sports performance training company our founder, Steve Carmichael, started and still runs. Coaching there meant juggling sprinters, distance runners, and small groups across a packed weekly schedule — and the busywork around the sessions kept getting in the way of the coaching itself.

He tried calendar apps, scheduling tools, and spreadsheets. Each handled one slice of the job, none of them talked to each other, and the costs added up. The schedule lived in one place, athlete notes in another, parent contacts in a third — and attendance on paper. RapidCoach connects them: the calendar, the roster, attendance, and notes, all tied to the session itself.

Today it’s the tool we use to run Run For Performance — and it’s built for solo and private coaches running their own schedule, roster, and attendance. The goal never changes: less admin, more time on the track, field, or court.

What we value

Simple beats powerful

Every feature has to earn its place. We'd rather do a handful of things you'll use every day than bury you in options you'll never touch. If it slows you down, it doesn't ship.

Made for practices and sessions

Coaches don't work at a desk. RapidCoach is mobile-first — designed for one hand, bright sun, and the few seconds you get between athletes, whether you're running a team practice or a 1-on-1 session.

Families first

We store only what's needed to run sessions and reach families — no medical data, and minors' information is protected by default. Parents see their athlete's schedule and nothing else.
